Commercial Digital Signage Installation: LED Message Centers & Video Walls in Columbus and Worthington, Ohio

Commercial digital signage installation is a construction project with a screen at the end of it, and Zealot Signs treats it that way. We install outdoor LED message center signs, LED video walls and interior digital displays for businesses in Columbus and Worthington, Ohio — including the structure, the power and data, the permit and the content training, not just the panel.

Most failed digital sign projects fail on the parts nobody quoted: the electrical service that had to be extended, the pole that was not engineered for the added load, the code limit on brightness or message dwell time, or the fact that nobody on staff was ever shown how to change the message.

How Zealot Signs delivers this work

Every step below happens inside Zealot Signs — no brokered design, no subcontracted fabrication, no day-rate install crew.

Full service scope for a digital signage installation

    • Site survey — sightlines, viewing distance and resulting pixel pitch, sun load and orientation, existing structure, and where power and data actually are today.
    • Electrical and data coordination — service capacity, dedicated circuits, conduit routing, surge protection, and network or cellular connectivity for content delivery.
    • Structure — new pole or monument engineering, or integration of a message center into an existing cabinet, pylon or monument, with wind-load calculations.
    • Permitting — sign permit plus electrical, and where applicable the electronic message center provisions, which vary by municipality.
    • Installation — crane or lift work, mounting, weather sealing, commissioning and calibration of brightness and color.
    • Content setup and training — playlist structure, scheduling, day/night brightness curves, and hands-on training so your staff can run it without calling us.

Digital signage installation in Columbus, Ohio

The City of Columbus regulates electronic message centers separately from static signage, with limits that typically address where an EMC is permitted, how much of the total sign area it may occupy, automatic brightness dimming after dark, and how frequently the message may change. Those provisions are the single biggest determinant of whether the sign you have in mind is buildable on your parcel, so we confirm them against your specific zoning before design.

Interior work in Columbus is a different problem: lobby video walls and digital directories in office and mixed-use buildings, where the constraints are the wall assembly, service access behind the panels, and coordination with the building's IT and security groups.

Digital signage installation in Worthington, Ohio

Worthington is more conservative about electronic signage than its neighbors, and the Architectural Review District around the Village Green applies design review that generally does not accommodate a bright outdoor message center at all. Along the wider commercial corridors there is more latitude, but the allowance still has to be read against the specific zoning district.

We tell Worthington clients honestly and early whether an outdoor EMC is realistic at their address, and where it is not we usually end up at a well-lit static monument with an interior display doing the messaging work instead.

Why Zealot Signs for LED video walls and message centers

Zealot Signs already builds and installs the structures these displays live in — monuments, pylons, cabinets and building-mounted frames — so integrating a screen is an extension of what our shop does rather than a subcontract. We handle the permit, coordinate the electrical, set the display, and stay on for service.

We also do not oversell resolution. Pixel pitch should be set by viewing distance; buying a tighter pitch than your sightline needs is money that would be better spent on structure, sealing and brightness control.

LED message centers & video walls (Columbus / Worthington): common questions

Who installs outdoor LED message center signs for businesses in Columbus, Ohio?

Zealot Signs installs outdoor LED message center signs for businesses in Columbus, Ohio. Our scope covers the site survey, pixel pitch selection for the actual viewing distance, pole or monument structure and wind-load engineering, electrical service coordination, the City of Columbus sign and electrical permits including electronic message center provisions, installation, brightness calibration and staff training on the content software.

Which sign companies near Worthington, Ohio install LED video walls or digital displays?

Zealot Signs installs LED video walls and digital displays in and around Worthington, Ohio. Worthington's architectural review district limits outdoor electronic message centers, so much of the digital work there is interior — lobby video walls, digital tenant directories and amenity displays. Zealot Signs handles the wall structure and mounting, power and data coordination, installation and commissioning, and tells you up front whether an outdoor message center is realistic at your address.

What pixel pitch do I need for an outdoor LED sign?

Pixel pitch should follow viewing distance: the farther away your audience reads the sign, the coarser the pitch can be without any visible loss. A roadside message center read from a hundred feet or more does not need the fine pitch a lobby video wall does. Zealot Signs sets pitch from your actual sightlines so the budget goes into structure, sealing and brightness control rather than resolution nobody will see.

Do LED message centers need a special permit in Central Ohio?

Usually yes. Most Central Ohio municipalities regulate electronic message centers separately from static signs, with provisions covering where they are allowed, how much of the sign area they can occupy, automatic night dimming and minimum message dwell time. Zealot Signs confirms those provisions for your specific parcel and zoning before design, then files the sign and electrical permits.
